Thirty hand painted panels tell a story which spans 100 years.
The history of the Corrigin Agricultural Show has been encapsulated in time by this awe-inspiring mural, the creation of local artist Sonia Price.
The mural portrays key moments from the show's history, such as its inception, notable competitions, and the evolution of agricultural practices over the years.
It serves as a focal point for both locals and visitors alike, inviting them to reflect on the traditions and values that have shaped the Corrigin Agricultural Show into the beloved event it is today.

In early 2022, the Corrigin Agricultural Society commissioned local artist Sonia Price to design a mural to commemorate 100 years of the Agricultural show.
Sonia dedicated her time to finding historic photos, and projected them onto the panels before sketching the outlines.
In October that year, community members began to flock to the decommissioned Uniting Church where the panels were being housed and began the monumental task of painting.
Painting by numbers, 220 individuals spent months working on a collective goal; to be ready for the unveiling on Friday 8 September 2023, one day before the 100th Corrigin Agricultural Show. Before the mural was hung in it final place on the back of the existing ram pavilion/shearing shed, Sonia added in the intricate details and double coated the finished panels with an anti-graffiti gloss.
On the eve of the Agricultural Show, over 300 community members and visitors alike attended the unveiling. Past Agricultural Society Presidents and life-members revealed panel by panel, whilst Sonia spoke to the inspiration behind each image.
In essence, the Corrigin Agricultural Show mural embodies more than just moments frozen in time—it encapsulates the spirit of a community united by a shared passion for agriculture and a commitment to preserving its heritage for future generations to cherish and celebrate.
The 2024 Agricultural Show is happening on Saturday 7 September.
